Session Start-up Details missing for users on XenApp Servers - Troubleshooting

For users logged into to XenApp servers(This feature is available only for XenApp version 7 and above), if logon details test is missing "Session Start-Up Details" metrics, one of the possibilities could be the WMI repository corruption. 


Please follow the steps below to confirm, if the issue is caused by WMI repository corruption


 



To verify the WMI corruption, please follow the below steps. 


  • From Run window, issue “wbemtest” command and you will get the Windows Management Instrumentation Tester.  Then click on the Connect option



  • On the Connect window provide the root\citrix\hdx path on the Namespace and again click on the Connect again 





  • If you there is WMI corruption, you will get the error " Invalid namespace"


  • If you get through successfully, you would see the IWbem Service. Click on the Query and enter the Query "Select * from Citrix_Client_Enum"


If you get the output successfully as given below, then WMI is working fine.



Likewise you can very the other query for different information from the WMI Testing -  


1) From Run window, issue “wbemtest” command - click Connect under namespace section - Enter root\citrix\hdx and connect. If you get through successfully, select Query and run this query - Select * from Citrix_Client_Enum see if any results are popped up.  

 

2) From Run window, issue “wbemtest” command - click Connect under namespace section - Enter root\citrix\hdx and connect. If you get through successfully, select Query and run this query - Select * from Citrix_Sessions to see if any results are popped up. 

 

3)From Run window, issue “wbemtest” command - click Connect under namespace section -  Enter root\citrix\euem and connect. If you get through successfully, select Query and run this query - Select * from Citrix_Euem_ClientConnect to see if any results are popped up. 

 

4) From Run window, issue “wbemtest” command - click Connect under namespace section - Enter root\citrix\euem and connect. If you get through successfully, select Query and run this query - Select * from Citrix_Euem_ClientStartup see if any results are popped up.  

 

5) From Run window, issue “wbemtest” command - click Connect under namespace section  Enter root\citrix\euem and connect. If you get through successfully, select Query and run this query - Select * from Citrix_Euem_ServerStartup see if any results are popped up.
