Sometimes, the eG agent service appears to be marked for deletion in the Services page. This could be because,
1. If you try to delete or install the eG agent while it is running,
2. If you have Antivirus or Malware which could delete the files on eG could cause service corruption.
3. If you run debug on/off by keeping the service control panel open, the windows mark the eG agent / agentmon service to the deletion state.
If you face such a scenario, please follow the procedure to remove the service before reinstalling the eG Agent again.
Run "regedit.exe" in the Start->Run
Look for the following registry keys:
o HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eGurkhaAgent
o HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eGAgentMon
Delete the above keys one by one.
Run the command createAgent.bat from <EG_INSTALL_DIR>\lib folder. This will create the above two services again.
