How to troubleshoot, if the Agent is not communicating to manager but able to validate the manager availability from browser? (Assuming manager/Agent configuration is fine)

  • Check the manager connectivity using ICMP ping and telnet
  • Check if there is a proxy between the eG agent and manager, if proxy exists make sure that the eG agent is configured to connect using the proxy
  • Check the Nick name set for the agent and the component is configured with the same 
  • Check the error_log files for some basic clues, located under egurkha\agent\logs


If you still have issue, send the error_log file to eG helpdesk for more assistance.
